Active Release Techique (ART®)
Active Release Technique® (ART®) is a patented soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia (connective tissue), and nerves. A multitude of musculoskeletal conditions can benefit from ART®. These conditions all have one important similarity: they are frequently the result of overused muscles, causing muscle spasm, scar tissue and eventual loss of function within a region of the body.
Manual adhesion release focuses on the most common cause of muscle and joint pain — Adhesions. Adhesions act like “glue” or "scar tissue", which limiting motion, causing pain, numbness and tingling. The Manual Adhesion Release treatment allows Dr. Strickler to remove soft tissue Adhesions thus eliminating your pain and improving your overall range of motion.
Soft Tissue Specialist (id®)
In order to properly diagnose and treat a patient's soft tissue injury/dysfunction, a patient will be put through several movement assessments with Dr. Strickler. Once your soft tissue problems are targeted and diagnosed, treatment will begin to eliminate Adhesions and restore proper function. The effectiveness of this treatment protocol are almost always immediate in reducing pain and improving the patient's overall range of motion.
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
